Some individuals have had a major impact on the cigar industry. Carlos Fuente, Sr. is one of those individuals. After his father made a name for himself with his quality cigars, Carlos grew the business and made the Arturo Fuente brand of cigars a huge success.

Carlos Fuente Sr. used to be very involved in the blending process, but hasn’t blended in decades. That’s changed with the Arturo Fuente Casa Cuba cigar. Fuente Sr. blended Cuban seed fillers from the Dominican Republic and used a Dominican binder with an Ecuadorian Havana wrapper as a reminder of the Fuente history.

The name harkens back to the Casa Cuba Tampa factory in 1956. The Arturo Fuente Cigar Company bought out Casa Cuba in the 70’s but didn’t do much with it until 2013. The cigar had been in the works for several years until it was launched at the 2013 IPCPR. Things kept putting off a full launch, but now the cigars are here to stay.

This is the first cigar made by the Arturo Fuente Cigar Company that doesn’t feature the family name. Try Arturo Fuente Casa Cuba from Cuenca Cigars for the best prices.
